CLINICAL RESEARCH
Dr. Jay Neugarten, a Yomi provider and esteemed oral and maxillofacial surgeon in New York City, recently authored a landmark paper on the accuracy and precision of robot-guided implant placement.
“Accuracy and Precision of Haptic Robotic-Guided Implant Surgery in a Large Consecutive Series,” which was published in The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, found that haptic robotic guidance enables higher accuracy and statistically greater precision than any other treatment modality in use today.
“I wanted to conduct this research because accuracy is so critical in implant dentistry. In addition to poor aesthetic outcomes, inaccurate implant placement can also lead to intraoperative complications, patient discomfort, and reduced implant longevity. That is why any technology that can deliver this level of exactness should be strongly considered by clinicians.”

Yomi® is the first and only FDA-cleared robot-assisted dental surgery system. Yomi is a computerized navigational system intended to provide assistance in both the planning (pre-operative) and the surgical (intra-operative) phases of dental implantation surgery. The system provides software to preoperatively plan dental implantation procedures and provides navigational guidance of the surgical instruments. Yomi is intended for use in partially edentulous and fully edentulous adult patients who qualify for dental implants. More Info
